Jacob & Erin Hoyer
Jacob and Erin Hoyer head up our leadership team. Jacob and Erin met in 2008 on a 1-year mission trip around the world. They spent two years (including their first year of marriage) working for the missions agency they had traveled with. Jacob is an ordained Lutheran pastor who loves helping people discover their unique identity and purpose. Erin is a trained financial coach with a passion for walking folks into freedom. They both love sharing Jesus in the everyday and speaking life into broken places. They have two adorable children, Susan and Elijah, who will often be found greeting folks on Sunday morning (and asking for cookies). Erin and Jacob enjoy home improvement projects, like to host folks for dinner and board games, and fiercely protect their Thursday sushi nights.
Dan & Cathie Howe
Welcome Home Leaders
Dan and Cathie are our Welcome Home Leaders. They serve the Wellspring family, especially by helping to guide and steward the parts of our church’s life that pertain to making folks feel at home. The Howe’s have moved a bit for work over the last few decades, affording them the opportunity to have been a part of a number of Christian congregations. They bring these experiences to Wellspring to help envision what a loving Christian church can be. Dan and Cathie have been married for 35 years, and have two wonderful daughters who are grown and living in South Florida. Dan is a big Orlando City Soccer fan and Cathie loves just about all colleges sports.
Aaron & Jamie Underwood
Life on Mission Leaders
Aaron and Jamie are our Life on Mission Leaders. They serve the Wellspring family, especially by helping to guide and steward the aspects of our church’s life that pertain to helping folks take up opportunities to be missionaries in their everyday lives. Aaron and Jamie spent several years on staff with Young Life, a national organization that trains young people to share Jesus with their peers by building authentic relationships at school. Aaron and Jamie have been married for 20 years and have two daughters, Payton and Paige, who are both involved at Wellspring in their own rights. They love spending time with family, supporting a good cause, and enjoying their adopted hometown of DeLand.
